Manual restraint for radiographs due to continued left hindlimb lameness. There is a left distal femoral fracture with mild displacement. A moderate amount of air is noted within the soft tissues surrounding the left femur. Suspect that this air is escaping from the femur at the fracture site rather entering from an open fracture site. If the stifle joint remains unaffected, this bird may return to full function after healing.

| BCS: 3.0 ------------- PHYSICAL EXAM FINDINGS ---------------- Head Behavior and Neuro: BAR Body Heart and lungs: HR 110 bpm. Normal rhythm. Wings Legs Right stifle: Intermittent clicking in right stifle on flexion/extension. Although no abnormalities are apparent in the left hindlimb on exam, the bird is moderately lame on the left hind when released into the yard.
